Collaborative Authentic Assessment and Evaluation Rubric for Course Design
This project showcases my ability to design a comprehensive assessment strategy for a course, with a focus on authentic, collaborative evaluations. I developed an authentic performance assessment that engages students in meaningful, real-world tasks, and an accompanying evaluation rubric to measure student performance accurately and fairly.
Project Components:
Collaborative Authentic Assessment: The assessment was designed to mirror real-world applications of course content, encouraging students to work together in a meaningful and practical way. It allows students to demonstrate their understanding through performance-based activities.
Evaluation Rubric: Created using RubiStar, the rubric consists of six categories and four levels of mastery. The rubric provides clear and measurable criteria aligned with course objectives, ensuring that student learning is evaluated comprehensively.
Tools & Methodology:
RubiStar was used to develop the rubric, ensuring an evidence-based approach to evaluating learning.
The assessment and rubric are designed to provide a performance-based evaluation that fosters critical thinking and collaboration.
